FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The Answers You Seek
WHAT IF I BREAK MY DISPLAY EGG OR ORNAMENT?
Accidents do happen but don't worry, I can usually help! First and most important, save ALL the pieces, even if they are really tiny. I have been restoring broken or heirloom eggs for years. Restoring pieces is always free of charge, but I do ask that you cover shipping if you are not local. If the egg is entirely un salvageable (which, knock on wood, has never happened yet) I will work with you at a discounted rate to replace your piece. I stand by my products and satisfaction is my highest priority.
HOW DURABLE ARE THE DISPLAY EGGS/ORNAMENTS?
More durable than you would imagine. Larger eggs such as Emu, Rhea, and Ostrich are just as durable as a piece of thick pottery and should be treated as such (no playing basketball with those). Smaller eggs and ornaments should be treated like a glass ornament. Eggs with significant carving should be handled with a bit more care, the biggest thing to remember is to hold the egg on areas with less carving and not put too much pressure on areas that have less support.
DO YOU DO CUSTOM ORDERS OR RUSH ORDERS?
Of course. my biggest passion is custom eggs and jewelry. Depending on the season and current load, commissions usually take between 3-6 weeks for completion. Need something sooner? Just ask. If my schedule allows I can sometimes squeeze large eggs and ornaments in as soon as 2 days, jewelry however is a 1 week min due to the epoxy process. Contact me directly for more information or to place a commissioned order.
HOW DURABLE IS THE JEWELRY?
The jewelry is EXTREMELY durable. They have been tested to survive dropping on concrete from a 3 story balcony. Let us put it this way, Lyra, my little marketing director started wearing my necklaces to school in Kindergarten. If a necklace can survive being passed around elementary school classes for 3 year without breaking then they can survive pretty much anything. The only important care instructions to remember are to never leave your jewelry in direct sunlight through a window. The harsh sun through the glass will eventually fade the dyes. It is also recommended to not submerge your jewelry under water for a extended period of time, for example when scuba diving. Forgetting and showering in them occasionally is perfectly fine.
DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?
Yes! We ship eggs and jewelry all over the world. Display eggs, large and small, and hand packed with 10 years of successful shipping experience, to ensure safe delivery, including the carved eggs.
